While sports pilots and parachutists enthusiastically plunge into the wind tunnel, many of our visitors have a queasy feeling before and during their first flights. This is completely understandable, because flying in a wind tunnel puts you in a situation that is unlike anything else and for which you cannot prepare. You leave your comfort zone, and that takes a lot. Indoor skydiving is a fascinating interplay of body, air and a pinch of adrenaline, where you can experience and train your body control and coordination skills.

The most frequently expressed fear is that something might happen. As you have two experienced instructors by your side at all times and are flying in a controlled environment, you don’t have to worry. The “floor” of the wind tunnel consists of a coarse-meshed elastic net that gently catches you if you sink. Our instructors make sure that you don’t fly too far upwards. There is also no danger of you injuring yourself on the walls of the wind tunnel. After all, you are weightless like the astronauts in the ISS.

Before the flight, you will receive a theoretical briefing from us with the most important information on how to move and behave correctly. Once you have put on your equipment (overalls, safety goggles, hearing protection and helmet – we’ll give you all that), you’ll head towards the wind tunnel, which is quite loud and cozy and warm. Our instructors will take you through an airlock to the front area. When your name appears on the display board, you know it’s your turn. Now you go to the entrance of the wind tunnel and drop in. The instructors will guide you carefully and give you signals as to whether your position is okay and what you should do. With very small movements, you can influence your flight height and direction yourself. Your flying time will literally fly by and we are sure you will love it.

Indoor skydiving as a team-building activity

The shared experience of indoor skydiving is ideal as a team-building activity as part of a departmental or company outing. Although the focus here is on the team getting to know each other even better outside of work, a challenge that is mastered together has positive effects on the whole team: it promotes cooperation, optimizes the teamwork skills of each individual employee and increases team spirit and cohesion among colleagues. People who work with people with whom they have a good relationship are happier at work and perform better. Take off together with a lot of fun for shared success!
