On Saturday, September 30, 2023, 26 teams and individuals showed off their skills in two competition disciplines. In addition to the teams from Switzerland, professional flyers from France, Italy and Singapore were also represented!

Many goosebump moments, tingling excitement, a very badly damaged mattress (we will explain later) and – as the participants and guests confirmed – the cozy atmosphere in the Windwerk ensured an exuberant atmosphere and the best conditions for the competition.

“Just like at home in the living room despite the competition!”

The highlight for us was definitely the positive atmosphere and the fair cooperation between all the athletes. The spectators learned a lot about the fast maneuvers and sometimes complicated rules of the dynamic discipline. Just like the VAR (Video Assisted Referee) in football, the judges had to carry out several “reviews” in order to recognize possible busts (= mistakes) in the performance. The reviews were really close decisions and added the icing on the cake. In the end, the Dynamic Cup is also a competition, which means we were able to hand out medals and celebrate the winners of the competition:

Dynamic 2-way:

  • 1st place Singapore – Singapore
  • 2nd place Big Foot – Switzerland/France
  • 3rd place Windwerk GR – Switzerland

Dynamic Solo Speed:

  • 1st place Kai Minejima Lee – Singapore
  • 2nd place Kyra Poh – Singapore
  • 3rd place Eaglets – France

The detailed ranking list can be found here.

Congratulations to those who “flew” to the top of the podium. The winners not only went home with the glory and their medal, but were also able to enjoy the most important prize for passionate indoor skydivers: free flight time for further training sessions.

Thanks also to all the other participants, from internal Windwerk instructor teams to our junior team SIRO Gravity, who have undergone tremendous development.

“Simply a great atmosphere!”

The Dynamic Cup 2023 was held for the second time in this format. The positive feedback from participants and the international line-up also motivates us to repeat the format in the future.

Speaking of the future! The 2024 Swiss Championships are coming up… and guess where they will be held? Exactly, at our Windwerk! The date has now also been set:

Friday, 08.
and Saturday, March 09, 2024!

So make a note and mark it in bold in your calendar. Further information and registration can be found here: CLICK!

As we all know, pictures say more than 1,000 words: We streamed the Dynamic Cup 2023 on YouTube. There will also be a post on Instagram and Facebook soon.

…and the mattress? Well, that sounded a bit strange in the paragraph above. We’ll shed some light on it: the competitors reach pretty high speeds in the dynamic disciplines. At the same time, you fly for time. The faster you leave the wind tunnel, the better. Therefore, no consideration is given to injuries on the way out. This is taken care of by the mattress, which is placed at the exit to protect the athletes from the hard glass wall and gently cushion them.
